ok , the reason is work less hours , you might think it immoral , there are lots of people who work less because it affects their income support or whatever , there are people who put their money in tax havens to avoid paying income tax.
Whatever it is I just cant see how it is dishonest.
I tell them how many much I get paid , whatever my reasons , well thats not the OR's business I'm afraid.0 -
well....technically it IS the OR's business till your discharged....We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

as everyone's said at the end of the day we'll help ANYONE who needs it....but at the end of the day nobody here will tell you how to play the system
Believe me i'd have loved the chance to continue work & pay into an IPA....
you should listen to your own advice....just keep co operating with the OR , youve done the hard bit now.
As for the ipo , they will be looking at your incomings and outgoings and if you have a surplus of £99 or more they will make you pay 50% of this for the next three years. If you have more than £200 then this percentage will rise up to about 70% , I think it is.
They are quite reasonable though ,you dont have to live like a hermit! We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

Whatever it is I just cant see how it is dishonest.not everybody declares it on an open forum though. It is dishonest because you know full well it is not right.

I think you all need to go read this thread:

and abide by it.
I can't see what he is doing is dishonest. Yes, he is using the rules to his advantage doesn't everyone if they can? As I said, if you stop paying creditors when you are able to, so you can save up the money to pay for your bankruptcy petition, is that not dishonest? After all, you must give some explanation as to why you're reducing or stopping payments, and I'm sure no one says "I'm not paying any creditors for the next 2 months because I'm saving the money to petition ofr bankruptcy'
You may not agree what he wants to do on a moral basis, but that doesn't mean it's dishonest. If it's dishonest, the OR will deal with him, as he will if he thinks he is manipulating the system unfairly. As for moral, well, if you have the money to pay creditors every month, would you not argue that morally you should continue to pay them and not go bankrupt? After all, bankruptcy is a way of avoiding paying your creditors, or reducing what you pay them....if you think it's immoral to use the rules and legislation to reduce what you pay creditors, then you should also object to anyone going bankrupt, the objective of what he is doing is the same as any bankrupt - reducing liability. As for morals, well ask any bank staff who is made redundant what they think of people who run up big debts and then go bankrupt to avoid paying it, knowing that they escape the 10 year load term with a maximum 3 years payments !!!

I just dont wear this , as I understand I have to tell them how much I am earning and my address and any change in circumstances which I do.philnicandamy wrote: »well....technically it IS the OR's business till your discharged....
I give them full cooperation. ~I always respond to any queries , ,I told them about a bonus I had at work and they took half of it.
I have a choice how many hours I work every week. And consequently I am in control of how much I get paid.
I tell them (or) that is how much I earn.
How I feel about working x amount of hours , please give me a link where it says that I have to justify how I run my life , how I spend my time , or how much I earn. If you do this I promise I will start working longer hours.0 -
funny though.......5 days since last post & off we go again....or is it me being cynical? and over a thousand views eh?We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
