Hi all,
I'm just wondering whether to get the new software update, I don't have an iphone, just an ipod touch. Is it worth the £5.99? Thanks in advance for your opinions

Wish I'd known that before spending $9.95....oh well!0

It does seem alot of touch owners are inadvertantly being able to download the update for free0

Well from my nightmare today I would advise everybody to be very cautious.
I paid £5.99 and started the download process got half way through and then everything went dark just as it told me that my ipod would restart and then show up under devices.
I have tried everything but nothing works. Now when I reconect my ipod I get a pop up saying " USB devise not regognised" and apparently it tells me it has malfunctioned.
I called Apple support for all they were worth and was told I would have to take it into an agent or send it to them. Being in Scotland there are hardly any up here and it's going to be extremely difficult for me to reach one. If I send it to Apple she told me it could take 3 - 4 weeks.
AGH Now I wish I had never done it.
I have just paid £5.99 for the privilage of bricking my ipod touch.
It was working perfectly before this.
Just thought I would put on this liitle warning. Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.
