Strange pricing on travelodge

H ave been checking travelodge for to stay in Edinburgh on the first friday of December.
Got a price for 2 rooms, 2 nights totalling £168 (each room £42 a night).
Tonight, in readiness for the sale tonight/in the early hours, I just checked via the saver tool to show all rates, and if I ask for one room I can have it at £29 for the friday. Yet if I ask for 2 nights including that friday, there is no mention of the £29, instead it is £42!!!!
Should I fail to get the £9 rooms I will try for the £29 rooms seperately now I know they are there!

I think that's always been a 'feature' of the Travelodge online booking system - you can book multiple nights, but it will charge each night at whatever the highest applicable rate is - so if different nights are different rates you have to book each night separately to get the best price0 -

Im waitting to book a £9 room in Sunderland in Dec!!!!
Update 02.35am
Ive just booked a £9 room for sunderland just before christmas and then i did a test booking for same date after i booked mine and price had gone up to £19 so i think they must only have 1 or 2 rooms a night at the £9 rate.0 -
Woo hoo!
Didnt get £9 room on offer (possibly already gone as previous poster suggested) but got them at £19, so total cost £76 instead of £168 :j
Also managed to do it all in one booking!
Now I can go back to sleep!0 -
