How do i cancel my repayment cover?

Ive been using my credit card a while now and have let people use it which is fine since they pay it every month. Ive not got that much on it but i could clear it if i wanted. Theres other things right now that need paying. What i owe on the card is less than £100 which i think is probably a lot less than a lot of people have on their card.
Anyways within the next month or so the card will be completely clear and i can get back to using it for emergencys only but one thing ive recently noticed is this supposed Repayment cover. It costs £7 per month and i want to cancel it. Had i noticed it sooner i would have cancelled it but ive never needed to phone my card company about anything before. Can anyone tell me what i should say or if theyll try and talk me out of it and what i should say. I really dont want or need it since theres never been any difficulty paying the card and im slightly annoyed to think that for 7 months now ive been paying this unneccasary fee.

A phone call to customer services is normally all that's required to cancel payment protection insurance on a credit card account that's active.
May I ask which card is involved?People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

If you ring Card Services on 01315 498050, you'll avoid the perishing 0870/0845 numbers.
You should be fine but, if not, please keep us posted
Very best

Sorry for the late reply, this is the first ive been online since then. I did manage to get it cancelled. I was reminded that it would stop in 30 days therefore i would pay one more repayment cover fee. I was also told for 20 minutes about how i could injure myself or possibly worse die and my family would bare the burden of my debt. I was also told that i did not understand what insurance meant. I persevered though and managed to get through to her that i didn't want it anymore.
Like i said i was only using the card as a favour and paying the payments was no problem at all. It will be cleared off soon and then that's it. I only use it for emergencies and i'm not some shopaholic who wants to pay as little as possible. I just hate the fact i've been this for so long now but i can only blame myself. I really should have been reading the online statements closer to see exactly what was being paid off. Ive read about people changing credit card companies after their first year is up. I might look into that and see if i can get a better deal elsewhere.0 -
Thanks for your feedback. Sounds like a plan
