But after hitting you once in the first week, and 2 times second week, they then only hit you 3 times in week 3(instead of the expected 5 times).
You then turn round and say "Wow i was expecting worse, my situation must be getting better"

...NO you're still getting punched in the face in increasing amounts

Seriously though, to stick with the topic.
If your company anounces there are to be 100 people paid off and then they review 1 or 2 months later and then say they are only going to pay off 50 people, surely that is a better outcome than initially thought.
