Media For Liteon 5005 dvd rewriter

I bought my liteon 5005 about 3 or 4 months ago but have only just found the time to be able to set it up. I had some unbranded dvd-rws which I was hoping would work with this dvd recorder but they failed during the initial format. The only disc that works so far is the dvd +rw disc that came with the unit.
Liteon have a list of recommended discs on their website but I am hoping that there are a few moneysavers here who have the same recorder and can recommend some cheap +rw discs that has definitely worked with this rewriter.
So how about it guys?
