Would you leave Neutral feedback?

I won an item on 16th March & paid near enough straight away but no item here so I emailed seller. Got reply back today saying sorry item was stained after I washed it so I didn't send it, do you want a refund? I said yes & explained how to do it through Paypal without charging me but seller didn't do this so I've been charged 49p now. This was won 2 weeks ago so why has it taken so long for seller to tell me item was stained? If I hadn't have emailed would I have got a refund? I was going to leave a neutral saying "Refund received as item was stained before postage, took 2 weeks for seller to tell me this though" - do you think this is fair? I don't want to leave a neg as I have now got a refund but would neutral be ok?

Yes that sounds fair, people need to have good communication skills to do well on Ebay.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 0650

I had the same situation with a designer skirt I won cheap. Said her daughter had cut the skirt up!!!
Seller refunded me too. But leaving neutral leaves you open for the same in return.
I would just put it down to experience.0 -
I agree with lillybell...if you post a neutral...you'll almost certainly get a retaliatory one back....unless you let them give feedback first???
..or put it down to experience.

I HATE the bl00dy stupid feedback system on Ebay. Everyone is too scared to use the system as it is meant to be used because they know it can be used as a weapon. Therefore it is useless. Why don't they just put the one button on there and be done with it.
However, in this case, I don't think I would bother for 49p. How about leaving no feedback?0 -
It's not just the 49p though, it's the fact that seller never told me they hadn't sent the item until I asked where it was - TWO weeks later! Surely they could have emailed saying sorry it was stained when I washed it so would you like a refund. I'll leave feedback for now & see if they leave for me.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please!

if a neutral feedback was give to the OP, couldn't she add a comment afterwards to sort of counteract it?
Personally I think the feedback system should be altered so that the feedback can be given at anytime after the completion of the transaction but only appears once both sides have given their 'verdicts'2014 Target;
