  • Thanks all so much for your help! :) This really is such a nice site :D

Checked my account at around 4pm, and presto! the cash appeared in my account - guess for some reason it took a while to come through. Thanks again :)

    BarclaysManager is right.

The Mixed Waste would show as soon as the machine room processed it, and as long as it was put through before the counter cut off, it will show before the branch processing cut off, unless they were working off-line. Sub branches sometimes take longer if the waste is going to another site to be processed.

Not to sure of the exact process now as I haven't work in Barclays for over 6 years in the days of BCIS we would have to have stuff processed by 6pm, and the BCIS end of day run by then or phone up for an extension.

Personally mixed credit are ideal as the cheque has very little chance of going missing, or atleast they will look all over for it should it go astray as the tills and mech would not balance and that caused all sorts of issues!
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

If you put them both on the same paying in slip the cash won't clear instantly, it will be held over. The cashier should have known this.

Never, ever, pay cheques and cash in on the same slip.

Natwest/RBS do that if you pay money in on the same slip as a cheque they treat the cash like the cheque and it wont clear for 3/4 days.
