I notice Travelodge have their sale starting tomorrow. Does anyone know if the £9.00 offer includes central London rooms?
I was thinking maybe they charge more for Friday and Saturday evenings. Has anyone ever got a £9.00 room on a weekend? Are there any particular hotels which are likely to be cheaper?
planning on staying in London probably October/November and this could be the ideal budget route!!
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks!!

they do, i have done this a few times, booked in april for 4 days on a weekend for the docklands hotel for £36 bargain!!!
A big thanks to all the comp posters for their effort0 -
I've certainly booked Central London rooms for £9 quite a few times (usually in the Kings Cross Royal Scot) but never on a Friday or Saturday. However I can't remember if this is because they've not been available or because we've avoided those days for fear of not being able to get cheap rail travel - epsecially on the Friday (no point paying £9 for a room if it costs you £200+ to get there!)0

Last year we missed out on £9 nights but got £32 per night for two nights at Covent Garden. It was a brilliant deal.0

I got 3 nights at Covent Garden for Jan 2/3/4 at £19 a night. The Sun night room was showing at £9, but wouldn`t let me book it. Still showing as £9. Still very good value for a family room just off Oxford Street for the January sales.0

That is useful: I am only interested in city centres as I am dependent on public transport and had assumed that the only £9 rooms available would be for overnight motorway stopovers, miles from anywhere!
It seems to me that the Travelodge website has changed for the worse since 2007: I can't find my way around it nor find how to get the display for a whole month for a particular hotel. I would also just like to see a list of the places where £9 and £19 rooms are available rather than having to choose a place and date at random, one day at a time and finding nothing. I guess that you were looking for a specific location?Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

go via the £9 link on the homepage, put in the desired location and it does a week view for all the hotels near that location showing the prices each dayEx forum ambassador

Unfortunately it doesn't let you see all locations with their prices anymore - I suspect that the number of Travelodges has increased so much recently that it just isn't practical.
But you don't need to enter a date - as Browntoa says, if you click on the '£9 sale now on tab' from the home page, select the 'rooms from £9' button and enter a location it will display the ten nearest hotels to your chosen location with prices for a week (starting when the £9 availability starts in November) and allows you to scroll forward week by week. (If you do put in a date you'll get the same sort of display, but centred on the date you picked - you can still scroll backwards or forwards week by week).
Alternatively, if you want to get an idea of where there are hotels, use the 'Expplore the UK' tab on the home page and click on the different areas to zoom in and show the locations on a map. clicking on an individual location shows the particular hotel details ands lets you check availability.
There are quite a few 'central' ones these days, and the main drawback for many people (that they either don't have or charge for parking) isn't going to be a probem for you. Examples off the top of my head are Manchester Central, Liverpool Central, Leamington Spa, a new one opening in Chester.
I'd particularly recommend Bath Waterside - just the other side of the river (over a footbridge) from Bath Spa station and only a few minutes walk from the city centre, which is very compact and easy to get around by foot.0
