hello all just recieved a letter from fos to confirm reciept of my complaint, they are saying that they are recieving a high volume of complaints at the moment but they will provide us with a response as soon as they can.
thank you
Cool, great start......:T.
Just for curiosity how long ago did you send the FOS your complaint?

hello all i am really needing some advice with regards to a missold ppi claim i have in progress, i sent my complaint off 6 weeks ago and have recieved a £750 gratis offer this morning
we have had 3 loans running with the bank since 2002 and were sold ppi on all 3 with the bank knowing we were self emloyed and not able to claim on the insurance if needs be:mad: i am sooooo mad as i have even queried this with them on numerous occasions and been told that they would not agree the borrowing without the insurance or if we cancelled they would have to reschedule the loan and would not give us the borrowing, or just blatently that we needed it to secure ourselves, i am so mad as we woud not have taken the loans if we wasnt desperate and they have conned us out of a lot of money.
the decision for the gratis payment is based on the boxes were ticked at the time of taking the loan but my argument is that we didnt even tick the boxes the advisor did and we were pushed into buying it anyway we were just told to sign here there and everywhere and in our nievety we just went along with it.
what is the best course of action now and is this par for the course for them to do this.
thank you for reading and i really hope some of you can help:D
I have just reclaimed my husband's PPI from RBS but he was fortunate enough to get his refunded on his current loan - just wating for the money to be transferred to his account.
It does sound like they have only made you the offer on one loan, have you asked about the other 2 which I assume are settled? My husband is still waiting to hear about his 2 older ones that have been settled, seems to take a bit longer. his current one only took about 3 weeks for a response, which was quite surprising and impressive.
Good luck!!0 -

yeh i am still waiting for the rbs to deal with the older claims they have stated that this will take longer as they find it more difficult to get the info back once they arnt current.0 -
Keep at it. I paid off a loan with RBS in 2005 and within 2wks of claiming received confirmation that they will pay out - £2,300.0

hi all just an update there is nothing much to report only that the fos have recieved all the info needed from us and rbs and are waiting to pass my file to an adjudicator, i really thought the rbs would have settled as we have a really good case and they are tending to lose there cases on front loaded loans anyway. I asked the lady at the fos how long i would wait for it to be passed over to an adjudicator and she wouldnt commit but we are talking months. I find this process so frustrating and i feel so sorry for all you people who have been waiting years for an outcome.0
