capital 1 phoned me this afternoon and offered me a 5.94% p.a on a balance transfer,is this the same as 5.94% LOB ?

    I'm guessing that since they called you and they didn't mention an end date then it will be life-of-balance. But C1 seem to roll out very different offers to different customers. Almost any variation is possible. For intance, they wrote to me previously offering 7.9 on balance transfers made at any time - but with purchases etc as usual. (In effect putting a 'dual rate' on the card.) Get back to them and clarify the offer if you are interested. But remember what the bard says: "Never, ever, ever, ever!" spend on the card after doing a life of balance transfer or you wil be clobbered with high interest until the balance is entirely cleared.
