Multiple browsers opening by themselves?

Have I got a gremlin? I just went to close a browser tab and my computer went nuts... started opening tabs and browsers so quickly I couldn't close them... had to stop it using Task Manager.

Any ideas please?

So 2 trojans... is there a way of finding out where I picked them up, and what they are?

I already had that Spyware running, but an older version, and AVG which was set to scan and update every day... is AVG not very good?

Never heard of them trojans before. Id hazard a guess they were 'drive by' ones (ie ~ you go onto an 'infected' webpage and as AVG doesnt recognise it as being infected then it went by unnoticed)

Download CCLEANER (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure YAHOO TOOLBAR is unticked on installation). CCleaner will clean cr*p off your computer

Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

Please run COMBOFIX
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download

I already have CCleaner but will set up and run the registry scan and COMBOFIX. No time now, I have to go out, but will post up results later on.

I'm trying to run COMBOFIX but it seems to have a problem with AVG... I've exited AVG but it's still saying it's active and might cause damage if I run at the same time. Help?
