Vent - Asda Offers

I have recently started poping into Asda again after becoming an avid Morrisons shopper (brothers 10% staff discount card ;)).

One of the reasons I stopped going to Asda was that I was sooooooo sick of being overcharged.

This evening I went into Asda and saw that they had lemon pepper quorn pieces on offer. Great I thought for £1 I will stick them in the freezer for a lazy supper.

It was only when I got half way home that I realised I had been charged £2.49 for said product  I was so angry as I would never have bought them if they had cost that. The product was on the end of an aisle and had about 3 signs near the product stating that it was a pound.

I went back immediately because on principle I was bl**dy annoyed. Quite a lot of people would have picked them up as they were in a prominent place. When I got to customer services the women on customer services was so unapologetic. Asda are starting to irritate me as much Tesco now with their antics.

Yes, it is, but I know that some CS assistants are very coy about them. My local offers them every time.

after a shop specifically for offers, i always check the receipt for the discounts, it saves coming back and getting in s huff.
make sure you read it properly tho cos i almost went back to complain then realised the discount came off the total at the bottom, not the product price on the receipt!

my local asda is really bad for this, but its cheaper than the other shops.
I now always check the price on the the till reciept before I leave the shop and I ALWAYS go back if its wrong.
They always refund the money, and once I was sooooooooo cross about mis-labeled wine that I nagged the store manager to take down the promation while I watched.

I suppose its how they keep the price down--if they had enough staff to make sure it was all priced correctly it would cost more.

    Makes me mad tho.
