hi my overdraft is due to be taken away in july and due to a gambling addiction i am in alot of debt. the gambling issue i attend a weekly meeting for and have stopped for last 6 weeks. i know it doesn't sound long but everyone has to start somewhere. anyways to cut along story short i am going to have to do a repayment plan with bank. is it best to be honest that i am in the trouble due to gambling or not? i am unsure how to go about these things. any help would be great thanks

Ultimately the bank will just want their money back, so the reason you've got in to debt probably isn't too relevant.
Given that you are taking steps to take responsibility for your addiction and the issues around it, I think honesty is the best policy.
