What Have Royal Mail Done! Help Plzzzzzzzzzz

i recently sent a package as i am a ebay seller, i sent the package 1st class recorded, now the women at the post office didnt give me a orange recorded delivery slip,where it has my tracking number etc.

She gave me a standard receipt with tracking number,and it said how much i paid etc-recorded delivery

Now i dont remember her asking me for my address for return to sender, i asked if its ok, she said its fine.

The package has not been delivered i traced it online, it sais returned to sender, but if there was no return to sender placed does that mean my sorting office or my post office i sent from has it?

Please help, what shall i do????

The Post Office no longer hand out the orange receipts - they are only used to get the barcode from. The computer printed receipt is your proof of sending now.

Was your return address on the parcel? the person behind the counter should have asked you if it was (mine always do) and if not, given you the return to sender portion of the orange slip to fill in.

I would contact the office where you posted it and ask what happens to parcels with no return address. I think they may go to a central location to be investigated!

Yes there is a place that all undelivered mail goes to not sure where though sorry.Did you put your address in anything inside the packet(like an invoice),it would get back to you that way.But it takes a while to work through the system.Hope you get it sorted

did you include a reciept or something inside with your address?
when i ebayed i always had my address inside the box/packaging plus having it on the outside regardless of postal method

if you have no external return address then your item will go to Belfast to try and find a return address
contact customer services and hopefully they can get RLB to track your item and forward it to you
