Ok asda were fine when I started using them some months ago but I have recently noticed 2 bad trends occuring.

First is the use by dates, for the last 4 times in a row the date on my bread is either the same day (yes same day) the day after, or 2 days after I get my shopping. given only I eat my bread and a loaf can last me 4 days this is unacceptable to me, not to mention a loaf of bread with 1 day left on it has a noticeable poor taste compared to one with a week on it, I also often get hard loafs. The problem is most consistent on bread but it does sometimes occur on other products.

Second, the prices and limited choice on the website. An example is cans of coke, a offer started in april, buy two 8 pack cans of coke for £4 (£6.50 when buy seperate), I took advantage of this the first 2 weeks. After then the website always says unavailable. When my sister goes into the supermarket they pick from there is always stock.
Another example is 8 pack of asda crisps, I have been buying these on every order for a year or so, and all of a sudden they changed to unavailable, when I rang up I was told they do this when a product isnt selling well.
So we have cans of coke in a hot summer on special offer not selling well?
We have asda own branded crisps cheaper than alternatives not selling well?
This has happened to other products and every single time it is always stuff that is cheap, sometimes suff dissapears then comes back much more expensive.
Another example I was buying spring onions for 35pence, there was others for 89pence. Guess which one got withdrawn from the website?
Asda made the crisps available again after my call. They are saying their new website which is works in progress will have much more products, when I asked if they could offer a service when they garuantuee shelf life on things like bread they wasnt interested.

Here is something else as well which motivated me to post this, last week I didnt order any bread as my sister is buying it for me now seperate since the dates are so aweful (she has no issue walking in asda and picking a soft one up with 7 day life on it), the driver who delivers here a lot went back to look for my bread assuming he forgot it, I told him I didnt order any this week. He then asked me was it to do with dates and when I asked him why he told me 2 people before me checked the dates on their bread and refused to accept it and he is having to return them to the store and they will be refunded. So I guess it isnt just me been fussy then.
