Any Sky TV Techies Out There

We have sky tv in the lounge and in the bedroom. Previously if we had taped something on sky plus downstairs and played it downstairs we could watch it upstairs in the bedroom even though we dont have skyplus there. However my son blew up the toaster the other day which tripped the electric and now I cant watch skyplus upstairs. We've unplugged and rebooted anything - any ideas whats wrong please.

How is sky connected to the tv in the bedroom?

Does the OP have a video sender that sends the tv signal from downstairs to the tv upstairs? If so, perhaps the OP could try out a spare to see if that's been fried?

Or does the OP have a second box upstairs?
Where there's a will, there's a way to get something cheaper from somewhere else!! :D
