Calling all the slow cooker guru's out there.
I am after a SC receipe for Bacon and Onion Pudding.
All the recipies I can find involve simmering for hours.
Can anyone help?

I make one not in the slow cooker though
I make suet pastery
fry off onion and bacon
roll out the pastery and spread with the bacon and onion
I then roll it like a swiss roll
Put on a baking try for 25 min on 200oc or until brown
I serve it with veggies. Very filling and very nice0 -

i am making one of these tonight after thinking how yummy it sounds :T was gonna make it with a filling of pancetta / onion / mushrooms and make it creamy with creme fraiche / cream cheese
will it work do you think?
ive also got some leftover beef casserole so will make a beef one too
if i want to freeze it do i do it before baking or after ?0 -
I'm assuming this is a steamed pudding with suetcrust pastry?
To do this in a SC put the prepared pudding in the SC covered with foil and tied with a string handle.Pour in boiling water to come half way up the basin and cook on high for 6-8 hours.Still takes a long time!HTH0 -

I dont see any reason why both would not work. I think both are a great idea.
