hi all i am new to all this so appologise if im in the wrong forum

i have had a credit card for about 5 years always paid, an had payment protection.

i got made redundant june 2008 an never claimed (idiot i know)
i restarted work oct 2008 but was made redundant in march 2009
i have been trying to claim but they say because i wasnt employed for 6 months in my last job i cannot claim.

i have got a section 4 filled out from my last two jobs an also from the jobcentre for the dates inbetween.

my question is will they pay out. i am worried about this because of the gap in employment between june - oct 2008 an the fact i was only at my last job for 5 month 2 weeks.

i would appriciate any advice thank you

There's no point in buying insurance, if you're not going to claim when it's needed.

Strictly speaking, you should have claimed last June, as I think you realise.

Which daily newspaper do you read?
I'd write to the readers' letter page in the financial section. Very often, in a case like this, publicity is your best weapon ;)

you can only claim ins if you were employed for 6 months previous, any break in employment is not counted i am afraid, so i dont think there is anything you can do about it, please keep us posted
