hi I'm new and in need of some advice please,
I've herd about claiming back charges and loan protection so i wrote to hsbc asking for all information they hold on me (provision of personal information) today they rang me saying it's ready for collection so off i went to collect. wasn't expecting a stack off a4 paper about 5 inches high tho!
I've had a quick look through and i have ppi which amounts to near 3000 pounds. i never wanted it but you know how persuasive they can be! so can anyone give me some tips on how to try claim this back?
also how do i go about claiming for bank charges?
and finally is there anything else i need to look into regarding my provision of personal information?
thanks.

Hi There on the PPI you need to say how you feel you have been miss sold did you take the PPI out willingly or was it a provision of the loan? Can you give us some more info about why you think you were miss sold.?:mad:0 -

That isnt ground for complaints or an upheld decision. So, you will need more than that in your complaint.so can anyone give me some tips on how to try claim this back?
Telling the truth is a good place to start. If you were mis-sold then you tell them why you think you were mis-sold. e.g. you were not eligible for cover (obviously only use that if you are not eligible) or if you were sold single premium PPI instead of monthly premium or something else that is wrong and applies to you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Sorry for taking my time but had to sort out tea and kids.
basically i never wanted the load protection but the person who was sorting out the loan for me wouldn't let it drop till the point where i said go on then add it. I'm not sure whether i have a case but hopefully you can let me no. thanks.0 -

so what i need to do is look through the ppi info pack and see if there's anything which indicates ive been mis-sold?
also after looking at my credit agreements it has a box for (principal loan) and under that theres a box for (credit protection insurance loan) does this mean ive been sold single premium ppi? thanks.0 -
