I have copied a DVD on my computer with no problems, but it will not play? This is the second time it happened, I have copied all right before. Can somebody help? Thanks.

What format is the copied dvd?
Is it an iso or vob files?
VLC will open any file - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/0 -
Are you having trouble playing it in a DVD player, or on the computer.
When you say copied, how did you do it?
Did you use a "copy disk" function, or did you just drag and drop all the files?
If you are having trouble playing it on a standalone dvd player, what type of DVD did you record onto? DVD-R DVD+R DVD-RW DVD+RW DVD-RAM? Some dvd players are very picky about what format, and also the quality of the disk.0 -

To answer the question, it is copied as video TS. Cannot play it on the computer. I use decrypter first and then used intervideo copy to copy and it is dvd+rw. I used a copy disk function. I am going on holiday soon and this is my favourite exercise dvd which I want to copy and take with me. I am asking because I a bit concerned if there is something wrong with the dvd writer and need to contact technical support.0 -
Using dvdecrypter create an iso, and the burn the iso.
Do you know how to burn an iso?
To create iso = MODE - ISO -READ (save iso to desktop)
To burn iso = MODE - ISO - WRITE0 -
Hi, Using DVD Shrink is one of the easiest programs to use and it's free from the Internet.0

Don't use dvd+rw. rewritable discs are the least compatible format.Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.

But I agree, once you get it sorted you'll want to write to a dvd-r to have maximum compatability when taking your dvd on holiday.0 -
You say its copied ok, but cant play on the computer, so i take it, it won't play on dvd player, what is the error message you are getting if any... or whats happening or not..?If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.0

When I say, it's copied OK, I meant it has been sucessfully decrypted it and according to the burner it has been copied. I getting nothing, on my dvd player, it says there is no disk. I have tried to burn it using "burn4free" and it says not available space but did burn it and got the message "burnt with error". I have tried it on the computer again and it does not play but it seems to play on the dvd player. I had a quick check therefore do not know if it is half of a film, will check properly later on. It did not ogive me the option to burn the main film only like the intervideo copy. I guess, it must be something wrong with the burner. According to what advice I have been getting, it is better if I buy dvd-rw for burning. Argos is selling rw+ 10 for £7.99 for up to 240 hrs which I think is good value for money. The reason I use dvd rewriter is in case it does not copy and I would lose one the dvd.0

Your dvd player probably does not support dvd+
If your going to use Argos for your disks buy these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5344053.htm0
