Barclay's is the account I use for all my banking. I have just been made redundant so in these hard times I thought I would claim my banks charges back.
I was just about to post the second template letter after receiving my list of bank charges from Barclays them but a friend of mine said they may threaten me with the shut down of my account. Do they have the right to do this? Can you claim back and still keep it as your current account?
I've just shut down my NatWest and HSBC accounts from the uni days and claiming them back.
I look forward to your replies

Your friend is not with the current times on reclaiming. They cannot shut your account because you are claiming Financial hardship which is against the FSA Waiver on bank charges.0 -
Thank you so much for your advice
