best car GPS software for laptop??

I've got a small laptop /pc that I want to use when I'm driving around as a nav system.

Does anyone know the best software to use for this type of application??

I intend to use a bluetooth 32 channel GPS device for coms.

Can you install Tom Tom/garmin software on laptops???

TomTom definately not. In fact the choice is quite limited. Might be worth a look at PocketGPSWorld

And are you quite sure about the 32 channel thing? There aren't that many satellites in the entire constellation, and only half of them are visible in the northern hemisphere anyway.

Surely a Garmin i3 would be a better bet/more practical for £130 from halfords. Advantage is that you can get speed camera warnings put on it.
