Is this an OK Computer deal?

I am looking to change my PC and havve been shown this offer. My screen is OK, so does not need replacement. I only use the computer for Internet, a few minor Office type things, and a little downloading. Also, it doubles as the music system in the back room.
With the addition of a couple of speakers, do we think this is basically OK?
Thanks.

If you trust the company selling it then it looks fine to me for what you have described.
It will do the job nicely for browsing, office and a bit of downloading and music.
One thing worth noting : NO OPERATING SYSTEM.
Do you have a copy of windows XP, Vista, 7, etc
Operating system and speakers seem to be all you need!0 -
Are you aware it's not got an operating system ?0

Installing the OS could be a real pain in the harris if your not clued up on these things.... I assume this company offer the OS as an addon?
I wouldn't advise buying a system with no OS if you haven't done full installs before..... Will the company be supplying all the drivers for the components they've used?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Totally agree with Marty. Add a legit copy of Vista to that and the saving is not huge. And until you've done the install you can't know if they'e put it together OK.No free lunch, and no free laptop

You could always fix the one you have, reinstall the os, or upgrade the ram, and it won't be slow. Internet and office aren't demanding applications.0

Its about right for a barebones system..
It always amazes me how these companies make money on these systems...
If you look at the price of the components to build a system like this it comes out at about the same price to build one from scratch..... They must be selling alot of them to make their money......
P.S. Nothing wrong with Linux.....To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0
