4 weeks and still waiting for a refund, plus no reply to any of my emails!!

I pre-ordered a dress from MotelRocks.com in Mid April, the website said it would arrive the 1st week of May. It didnt. When I called them they could track the item and said it was sent back to the warehouse, but they were going to send it out again, 2 weeks later and it still had not arrived.

I called the call centre and asked for a refund 4 weeks ago, they said it would be processed in a week, a week later I called and they said they were having problems with their paypal account and it would be another week, Im calling every week and they give me the same excuse. I paid for the item through paypal and its too late to open a dispute, is there anything I can do? They owe me £35.20 and I paid with my paypal balance.

Couldn't you ring them and ask them to send you a cheque?

I did ask and they said all refunds have to be returned by the orginal form of payment, or i can be sent gift vouchers but I cant use this at a concession, i will have to go to an actual motel store and I think the closest one to me is in Bristol! They said i will be paid on Friday, so fingers crossed....

Don't p155 about dealing with idiot companies [you're just wasting your time...imo]

If you paid by card [credit or bank] ...ask the card supplier to do a chargeback.

    Simple as....job done!

OP says they are out of time for a paypal chargeback and also that they paid using a paypal balance.

I wonder if OP was deliberately pushed over the 45 day time frame for a refund?

Im also starting to think that aswell, I called paypal today but they couldn't help me, they just said I will have to wait until Friday and see if they refund me. I'm going to call the citizens advice bureau too and see if they can help.
