02 renault scenic radio/cassette problem

I wionder if anyone has any knowledge to shed lightr on an issue I have with my old scenics radio/cassette.

It works fine but if I try to use it on "high" volume after 20 mins or so it starts cutting out and then after a while starts reducing the volume and then cannot be increased above a reduced volume. The only way to clear it is wait 5 mins or so and then it will increase or turn it off and back on again but after a couple of mins it will be back reducing the volume. Eventually tho after a bit of this it won't give out any volume at all for a couple of minutes and will then allow it to be raised.

Its almost as its decided that having it on "high" volume is bad for me but i'm already quite deaf so I need it up high to hear it anyway.

Looked in book for player no good, googled and homepagefriend'ed no luck anyone with ideas to help.

Nope it will do it regardless of speed it just seems that someone has decided 20 mins of 20+ is enough and they will protect your ears even if you don't.

Bit like Vodaphone's annoying content block!
