Fridays for HIP/conveyancing - good or bad?

I thought I'd take advantage of an offer from Fridays - do your conveyancing through them and get the cost of the HIP refunded.
This resulted in a quote for conveyancing (selling) of £500 after deduction of HIP cost (£211), all inc VAT.
I'm a little concerned however. It took them nearly a month before the HIP was produced and only after I chased several times. Teh "mini HIP" should have taken five days but in the end took 11.
I took issue with them this morning and within five minutes of doing so had the HIP. Also this morning I accepted an offer on the house and so now need to instruct solicitors but I'm a bit loathe to continue with them if they're going to constantly drag their heels.
Has anyone had any personal experience of Fridays, good or bad, that'll help me make up my mind to stick with them or bin them?
I have had a few other quotes today but all have been more expensive so far.
Thanks in advance.

Cleared £23,848.22 of debt between Jan 2008 and September 2009. Now a saver rather than a spender!

Is this your wife who is "one of the best conveyancers in the Country"?
Blatant advertising!!!0 -
I have worked in law firm's for my entire working career and although I don't actually have any experience of Fridays I would say that I would normally steer clear of large online firms. I know that everything can be done over the internet or through the post but I would always go for a local firm, you never know when you might need to pop in if something needs immediate attention. They also have knowledge of anything relevant in the area that might be needed or not as the case may be (such as coal searches and the like). Also you often get face to face meetings going through all the details of the sale/purchase. Also you know that you have got one person (plus secretary/ies) working on your file so things don't get missed (so much).0
