Can I do this to get cashback twice?

in Credit cards
I have two credit cards for cashback; a johnlewis card, and a Conran card.
Now if I use my conran card every month and it has a balance of £1000 can I pay it off using my Johnlewis card and then pay this off by direct debit.
Does that mean that I get cashback from my Conran card and then again from my Johnlewis card.
I am sure that there is a reason why this can not be done but I can't work out how.

You cannot pay a credit card bill directly using another credit card.
You can perform a balance transfer from one card to another, however you will pay a high rate of interest on this transfer and you will not earn any cashback from doing so.0 -
Thanks for the quick reply.
I did not know that.

Imagine if you could! All the savvy people would have about 10 cards and permanently balance tramfser from one to the next, forget working you could do this for a living!!!2p off is still 2p off!0

The only way I can see of earning 'cashback' twice is if, for example, you use a Morgan Stanley CC at (intro) 2% cashback at say, Tesco and present your Clubcard when you check out.
You'll get 2% cashback through Morgan Stanley, then 1% equiv in clubcard points giving you a total of 3%

if your buying from john lewis online you could use quidco :-) get the cash back from them and on your john lewis card thats twice cash back.
I personnaly use quidco and my egg money card to earn cash back for any purchase`s online that i cant find cheaper supplied by a compnay not in quidco.
Either way ill use my egg money card to earn the cash back but its a bonus when used through quidcoIf it doesnt pay rent sell it.
