Advice on refund for concert tickets

Hi not sure if this is in the right place or not so please feel free to move to the correct place. I bought my daughter 2 tickets for an Oasis Concert at Heaton Park in Manchester for her birthday. The total price was £104, when my daughter went to the gig the band went after 2 songs and then came back a while after and not sure what happend but they offered a full refund on the gig tickets. Concert was 4th June 2009 and cut off date for refund was Friday 12th June. My problem is I was in America from 29th May until 13th June and have only found out about the cut off date on my return. Do I have any legal standing to get the refund. My daugher couldnt claim it because I am the card holder who paid for the tickets. Just would like some kind of clarification on whether I have a case or not with them and how i go about it?

Thanks in advance

If you missed the cut off date they may turn around and say it wasnt their problem, You could try though. Dont know if their is any legal standing on this one.

They actually completed their gig albeit a little later than planned they had no requirement to offer a refund

Looking at their website all they required for a refund was the tickets they must also have some way of knowing if the tickets were used as they planed to scan them to ensure they were used then they would send a cheque within 42 Days. So your daughter could have claimed the refund.

    Put it down to experience

They had a powercut thats why they are giving a refund. You should be able to get a refund give them a call and explain the situation.

Yes but they still performed thus the refund is discretionary and if they missed the deadline their probably screwed.

Maybe try posting it off anyway and dating the letter last week and blaming royal mail:rotfl:
