Private Health Insurance - Cancer Survivor
Comments
-
Firstly you should stop filling up another persons thread who is genuinely trying to find a solution to a loved ones cancer.
So if you have nothing nice, useful or helpful to say then go away.
1) It is PMISpecialist who posts whenever an opportunity for a sale is spotted. And always breaks the rules.
Others in this forum happily help with no thought of getting some free asdvertising/targeting posters via pm etc.
2) As has previously been mentioned, you can post whatever you like, but when you resort to these personal abuses you seem to just want a row.0 -

But not you eh?
You just want to personally attack one individual (not your first).but when you resort to these personal abuses you seem to just want a row.
You are the one that's picking on one individual and abusing anothers threads.
You've done the same to LadyIndecisive and we've now lost her.
You only have to look down the thread to see who started the personal attacks.
Don't try to deflect the blame onto me.
You are the one who always starts this nastiness.
I'm just defending against YOUR attacks.
Shame you can't spend your time helping people instead.0 -

The only thing blatant on here is PMI Specialists post.
Its perfectly possible to give an OBJECTIVE summary of what he has said without it being a flag waving exercise for PruHealth.
In addition I can see no reason at all why, if he is signed up to MSE and is abiding by the rules, that he has a DIRECT link to a website offering advice on PMI.
That's a complete give away that the primary reason for his posting on here is for commercial reasons.
There are plenty on here happy to give considered, non biased opinions to those who need them - with no thought for commercial gain.I am a Financial Adviser specialising in Mortgages, Protection, Health and Medical Insurance. I also write wills. All information posted on this site is for discussion only, and should not be taken as advice.0 -

And these are the people I'm hoping to hear from now...
Please the rest of you, stop using my thread to bicker on. Go and argue elsewhere! I know you're looking out for my interests, but your point has been made and I would now like to get some help based on my original post. Thank you.0 -
She's been pretty unwell recently and is going for a liver scan this week and is paying to have the scan done at a private hospital (3 weeks wait on the NHS which clashes with her holiday) and obviously we're hoping its something quick and easy to treat. However, I doubt that she'll be able to afford to keep paying for private treatment.
From what you have written above, you seem to have a concern over the possible costs of a condition which your mum already has.
No insurer will issue a policy which will cover the costs of either a yet undiagnosed condition or one which is already under treatment.
It may be possible to obtain cover for illnesses other than those pre-existing, but it could well be difficult...
Not that it helps your case I'm afraid, but for any others reading it highlights the point that for cover such as this you really should think about it as early as possible while you are still relatively young and healthy - many people only look at this when as in your case they have already been diagnosed and cover is either expensive, limited or not available at all.I am a Financial Adviser specialising in Mortgages, Protection, Health and Medical Insurance. Wow what and advert for specialist advice. Jack of all trades and master of none (or certainly not a master of PMI in your case).
Regarding the part highlighted in bold I think you need to do more research before coming out with such sweeping innacurate statements as you could find yourself in alot of hot water with the FSA if you are registered with them?
As well as inaccurate your advice is vague and designed to look knowlegeable where as to anyone who actually does know the PMI field its absolutely laughable to say the least. I would suggest some retraining on the PMI side of things.
Firstly you could have cancer today join Pruhealth tommorow via their Moratorium underwritting and in two years time the cancer is cover along with everything else no matter what happens within those two years FACT!
There is also MHD underwritting which i have explained in other posts above.
"It may be possible to obtain cover for illnesses other than those pre-existing, but it could well be difficult..." Like new ones after joining you mean, which are covered straight away. :rotfl:
Tell you what, lets put our differences aside and concentrate our efforts on helping nm123. If you find nm123 a better deal than the Pruhealth deal described above and i'll reccomend a good rival broker to me who probably won't give any cashback (never mind 30% in 6-7 weeks) to them but at least i'll know that she is then getting good advice.
The best alternative Pruhealth deal i am aware of is Quidco who offer £35 cashback and that has taken 12- 18 months to get for many posters on the Pru Thread.
Shall we help NM123 together or you want to join Quentin & co being a mudslinger in the desperate hope some sticks?
Rules or not its a moneysaving website first and foremost and if i had a tremendous deal on an Audi TT (and wasn't aware of a better one) and a member on here was about to buy an inferior one for far more in very poor deal, common sense says you should at least mention it rather than let them blindly go ahead. Ahh yes but its against the rules. I'd rather go with common sense personally. I'm not holding a gun to anyones head here! People are free to check me out and make there own minds up.
nm123 i am sure is not a fickle, mindless fool & can make her own mind up!
I put my tin hat on and wait for the abuse and mudslinging to begin (yet again), instead of the help for nm123 which is what should be happening.
I am at an PMI insurance conference today so will probably not reply to anything other than email.0 -
I cannot see what is wrong with what Stephenni has said. If you are currently undergoing tests for a yet unknown illness then the typical response from insurers is to postpone cover until they know the outcome of the tests. They will not cover something that is not yet diagnosed but being investigated.
You seem to have assumed that diagnosis has already been completed and answered on that basis.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

You post this despite the OP's request:Please the rest of you, stop using my thread to bicker on
And yet again you cynically abuse the rules, using your post to advertise your own deals even though you know the rules which cover the very point you try to make (that you are acting purely philanthropically).MSE_Martin wrote:If you think you have a genuinely good deal please contact a Board Guide for the board you’d like to post it on. If they agree with you they’ll contact the MSE Team and it will be considered. Any final decision will be that of the MSE Team. Please do not question the response with the Board Guide.
And you wrongly denigrate the sound advice given by another (who will be unhappy you are part of the same "profession" with your unnacceptable tone and comments towards him).0 -

So was this request only aimed at PMI then Quentin?, I think not.
Why don’t you just let people who are trying to help do so?, and stop distracting attention too the OP’s question.Campaigning to recycle Insurance Policies into Toilet Paper :rotfl:

You post this despite the OP's request
Quentin - this was also aimed at YOU.
I am NOT going to reply any more because you should not be abusing the OPs thread for your own agenda.
If you want to discuss it, then start your own thread and stop hijacking other peoples.
I am not going to reply any more for this reason.
You should now STOP Quentin out of respect and compassion for the OP.
Take it elsewhere.
Go through proper channels instead of interupting genuine people who need help.
