Have they actually defaulted you (i.e. with the CRA's)? There is a difference....

No they didn't. It used to be Skycard, and they were good then (to me anyway). I just phoned them up and told them I was struggling making the full payments and they accepted my payment offer. They also agred to the payment offer that CCCS set too. I never received anything to say they defaulted me.... they just mention I was on a payment arrangement.

I know I could move my current account but I have ran out of ones I can go to :o.

I think paying £2.5k back interest free is not bad though. :D

Oh, NIB, my credit ref file is shot anyway :).... got a final charging order with RBS/Lombard

Although even if it's not defaulted and is in an AP, they can still help themselves to your Barclays Bank account balance if they please :o

Hi izools. This has been suggested to me on another site forum, but I have had the payment plan with Sky/Barclaycard for more than 3yrs now and have never taken more than has been arranged from my account. But you think they would, even if I kept to the payment arrangement?
  • i paid off my HSBC mastercard last june with a months wage because i wanted rid and at the time, i knew i would waste the money!
the sum was for £1,900 but i told them i can settle there and then if they let me clear the debt with £1,200 and they accepted! tbh, i was trying it on and was expecting a no but it worked!
    good luck everyone! :)
Finally rebuilding my Credit Record :), HP loan to be paid off Feb 2014 and thats it :j

Its unlikely they will dip into your other accounts but i'd still be opening a new account somewhere else - just in case.... :p
