Waltons Garden Buildings - AVOID

Just a word of warning to people I'd avoid waltons like the plague.....
ordered a playhouse form them and the build quality is awful. we had 2 pieces turned up damaged and were marked damaged when they were loaded onto the delivery van. the floor for the house is a flimsey bit of board and will crack if anyone over the age of 4 stands on it
their customer service is non exsistent and we're still waiting for replacement parts 3 weeks on........
spend a little bit extra on a good quality product and it'll save you money in the long run.

Completely agree. Had similar quality problems before, as have many people judging by the comments I see all over the net. I tell as many peeps as I can, not to buy from them.
I was lucky, my complaining got me £100 knocked of the cost but even so the shed still wasn't worth the discounted price. It was meant to be a heavy duty, quality workshop so not even as if it was only meant for light weight little people. If it wasn't needed in a hurry I would have bundled the lot up and shipped it right back down to them but as it was I didn't have the luxury of time so we had to go buy new wood to support the floor and alter the framing of the side panels as they wouldn't fit together because of poor sizing.
Obviously they haven't got any better, going by your post.Herman - MP for all!0 -

They haven't!!
I wish I'd read reviews of them online before I made the purchase. They've refused to refund the money and take the item back and I really can't be bothered with the hassle. I'm having to buy some decent chipboard for the flooring and also some 35mmx35mm timber to strengthen the whole structure.
I just found out they sell to homebase and I know 2 people who have had sheds from homebase and had to return them as they're such poor quality. They've had a look on waltons and they sell exactly the same sheds!!0 -
wish i saw this site before spending 749 pounds. we had shed shipped to ireland and basically got two different orders so had to cut base and buy wood to make roof struts and supports as they were missing and had to buy chip board to reinforce the whole thing . the doors and windows are rubbish and we had to put tape over door as frame so low you would bang your head . still waiting on customer service to get back as would like a contribution toward what we have had to spend. would never buy from them again.0

I'll add to the woes that other have written... I purchased a 'premium' shed about 4 weeks ago. Erected it with a couple friends (one who is very expereinced) and had to put internal braces to make the uprights more rigid and a beam to stop the roof sagging.
Previously, in the old house, I purchased a shed locally and due to the long delivery times picked the Waltons shed - big mistake. The Waltons shed was about £100 cheaper and I live to regret my purchase. I need to buy a second shed and will no doubt return to my local supplier for piece of mind - even if I have to wait an extra 4-5 weeks.0
