Picasa 3 bug

I've got this really irritating problem with picasa 3. We use Outlook Express for our email. Picasa 3 launches Microsoft Outlook when we try email photos. Initially I thought no problem, I can just reset the default email and off we go. And that's what happened, we emailed our photos and great, all was fine until we used picasa 3 again. It had reset itself to to Outlook.
It doesn't matter how often I reset the default email to OE, picasa 3 keeps returning to launch Outlook instead. Its getting quite irritating. In fact we don't bother emailing photos to family, friends, etc., nearly as much because of the hassel its become.
Anybody got any ideas? I'd be grateful for any help/solutions.

I upload the photos using picasa into the online albums. Then send the 'share' link to friends/family.
Reduces the volume of large files being emailed and received and you can add alot of information to them on the online album.
Not a solution as such to your problem but an alternative?0 -

Thanks that'll be helpful. I'd still like the option of just sending them via email, if there's a way to sort that."I am not young enough to know everything." Oscar Wilde0 -
Does this help?0

Thanks for that TF, that certainly does help, its a different option, but achieves the same thing.
P3 does seem a bit buggy from what I've seen, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem or not. I would guess so."I am not young enough to know everything." Oscar Wilde0 -
You could always use Google Mail. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Interesting, it appears that my pc is changing the default email to Outlook from OE for some inexplicable reason. Its beyond me."I am not young enough to know everything." Oscar Wilde0

What do you use Outlook for if you don't use it for email?0

I don't use Outlook at all. Just OE. I've not set my pc to use Outlook as the default. It seems to reset to that, so if I try to send photos it opens Outlook. However, for email it stays on OE, most strange. I guess I could just uninstall Outlook and be done with it."I am not young enough to know everything." Oscar Wilde0

In Picasa 3 go to Tools then Options and select the E-Mail tab.
You should be able to select the e-mail programme you want to use or select the 'Let me choose button' and it will ask you each time you want to send some pictures.
Or as previously suggested by ICATQ upload to a Picasa web album is better as you can send the link to whoever you want.0
