Can i copy a broken laptop hard drive

Hi, i have a broken laptop and i have removed the hard drive, is there any way i can connect this to a new or existing computer to copy this hard drive, either via a usb compatible cable.

Just make sure what connector type you have on the HD whether it is IDE as it may be have a SATA connector.0
