USB ? Are you sure, normally 2.5mm mini jack plug, green in colour.
Mains/battery?? Turned on ?? Volume turned up ?? Master control in volume properties up high, not muted, look for speaker icon on system tray, next to clock, etc.0 -
I have used a pair of speakers which where powered off USB, so you plugged it into a USB and sound output.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

You may need to change the audio device in sound settings...
Goto Control panel/Sound Speech and Audio Devices. Click on Sound and Audio devices than click Audio.
At the top where it says Default device there is a drop down menu.
There should be two devices in the menu, one for your onboard audio and one for your USB speakers, swap between the two.To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -
yes i plugged it into the back of comp a while back and my headphones worked good and it has a pull down mouthpeice as well to use for calls etc.Now i don't need/want it so i unplug it from the back of computer and just expected my speakers, which have always been still plugged into the back off comp as well,to start working,as they where before i put my headphones in,months ago.I turn them on,turn volume up/down but nothing comes out

If you don't intend using your headset anymore, uninstall the drivers/utility for it.
This will remove the device driver and restore your old audio device as the default device. To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -
