Comet Guarantee

Bought an LCD TV 10 months ago and it was confirmed 2 weeks ago that the screen was faulty so needed replaced, STILL WAITING.

Called this morning and was told when new screen is eventually fitted the screen would only be guaranteed for 3 months IS THIS CORRECT ? as i feel the replacement part should carry the 1 years guarantee?

Cheers guys

    not really, why should they?

any warranty that they offer is usually only 3 months in order to insure that the labour has been free of fault as any errors will have shown up by then and that the actual component isnt a dud

so its "good will" if you must call it that

Yeah, get advice or a kick in the teeth...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
