Hi there,
sorry if this issue has been covered already but I've searched and couldn't find anything.
My OH is trying to reclaim missold PPI from Lloyds TSB. We have sent out the first letter 6 weeks ago. The 8 weeks that we gave Lloyds to reply will be over on the 3rd of July. We have just received a letter from Lloyds, stating the following:
"
My question is, do we wait until we get a response from Lloyds within the next four weeks that they have asked for or sent another letter?
Thank you very much for your help in advance!

Following our previous correspondence regarding your complaint I would like to provide you with an update as promised.
I am sorry I have not been able to resolve your complaint. I will continue to look into the issue you have raised, so that you will receive a full response from us.
It has taken a little more to time to gather all the information but I will respond to you within the next four weeks. I hope that I will then be able to give you a satisfactory resolution...."

Hello there
This is the standard response that most receive from Lloyds TSB, both myself and hubby also received these with our own complaints with them.
I would obviously give them the 8 weeks and then it will be up to you if you want to take this to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), you are eligible to go to them then if you've not response.
Sometimes Lloyds do ask for extra time again on the 2nd letter, they state they may need a further 4 weeks, and still mention you can still go to the FOS.
Good luck with this and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hopefully they will resolve this in your favour, mine and hubbys went as far as the FOS in the end and successful through them.
But I have noticed recently Lloyds are resolving more complaints now more than before, it used to be that they rejected approx 95% of these complaints, but since this has been in the media, I must say I think they are definately resolving more.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks a lot di3004 for your speedy response! Hmmm interesting, looks like they are trying to stall as much as they can get away with...obviously saves them a lot of money....
I reckon we'll wait until Lloyds next reply then as I suppose it takes a while for the FO to do their investigations as well..
I will let you know how we get on. Thank a lot again0 -

With pleasure hun.;)
And do hope you are successful directly with these.
Yes they definately stall dealing with complaints.
For your interest, here is a link here to give you an idea of what they were like with their complaints, they have improved since then though, thank goodness.
