sky magic eye - tv link question

Hi, I have a question regarding the sky magic eye (tvliink). I have one at the moment in the bedroom which works ok and the main box is in the living room. I want to also watch sky in the kitchen

My question is that does sky fit new magic eyes, and if so can I have two sky tvlinks in the house?
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.

I'm not aware of Sky fitting magic eyes, I think they would rather sell you Sky Multiroom ;).

Try an indie, they'll fit it for you...oh, you can have more than one magic eye. You *may* need an amplifier though.

Sky now dont sell or install magic eyes (tv links), you can have 2 if you wish.

Why dont you go down to your local hardware store & get some coax cable ( CT 100 as the engineers call it) & try it yourself its very easy, you can always look at the install of the tv link that you already have as a guide & it will save you a bit more money.
You can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.

Get yourself a video sender. We have a couple so we can watch sky in the bedroom and kitchen aswell as the lounge (where the box is)

Thanks for all your replies, I failed to mention Ive already tried the video sender route, it gives too much interference.

Rang a local fitter up today and apparently I need a 2 way link, I want to put the wires on the outside so it will cost £85 fitted and working.

Didnt fancy wiring it myself as last time I did anything electrical I fused the whole house :rotfl:

Not used this one but I always thought If I bought another TV link I'd by this Triax Sky Digital TV eye (second item down):

It's a shame no to try it yourself as there is nothin electrical to do: co-ax can be bought made up to length (from your little electrical shop or off ebay) and it just plugs in at the back of your telly and into the 'output 2 socket' (next to where your current one plugs in.

If you do want to have it run outside can I understand why you wouldn't want to drill yourself but £80 sounds a bit steep as my official sky installer installed my old sky box in another room for £30 including the wire, (which is a similar sized job involving drilling through the wall). If you still have the number of your official installer I might try them, or at least get some other quotes, it's not a skilled job and should take under an hour.
