Hi there,
I'm imminently going to be looking for city centre accommodation in Glasgow and with a shot credit rating with a DMP on it, I'm wondering how I'll fare with letting agencies? By the time I'm looking I'll probably have a first arrears on my mortgage too. Does anyone have any experience of letting agencies in Glasgow? Are there any that are lenient with credit checking? Am I better going private? There doesn't seem to be many unfurnished around.
Also, I'm expecting to apply for BR before the year is out, if there is an irritancy clause in a tenancy agreement should I offer this detail before taking the agreement up or wait until the time and hope to talk it through?
I'm desperate to get out - an almost year of living with my ex partner is taking it's toll, I've never lived on my own so really looking forward to it

Quite expensive in city centre, why not try the West End or Shawlands.
Whatever you decide to do be honest about your past as it will go against you if you don't & it is later discovered.

Hi there,
Thanks for the reply. I'm stuck with the city centre as I want to be very local to work and have someone else to consider.
I'm a little worried about BR clause. I emailed one letting agent last night and they said to come in and talk it through with them but I don't want to waste money on them to be rejected. I guess I gotta try. I don't see many private landlords not with agencies.
