Sun cream for toddler with ezcema?

Please can someone suggest something? I've been looking online and am now confused by the different things on offer. As they are pricey I don't want to regret my decision and would like to hear word of mouth please?

All my hard work and efforts seem to have gone down the drain by applying normal sun cream over the last few days, i didn't even think about it until today.

I need to get her something soon preferably tomorrow.

Thanks guys for reading.

I can't really offer help - my daughter had the most terrible eczema and I used to cream her up two or three times a day, it was always getting infected and really sore. The sun actually helped her skin but I never found sun cream that didn't iritate her. I just used to cover her up as best I could in lightweight clothes. She's grown out of it now, thank God although it cleared up once I stopped using soap and detergent on her skin and clothing.

I have had eczema and so am very careful with my daughters skin just in case, although she has shown no signs so far, not sure if it's because I don't use any chemicals on her skin or whether she would be ok anyway.

I use Lavera factor 40 on her and have used it on myself too with no trouble. It is expensive but you don't need much as it is very thick- doesn't smell like holidays though :D

I haven't got kids myself yet but I have very very sensitive skin and I have heard excellent things about Banana Boat Baby Sunscreen which is SPF 50 - here's the Amazon link, but they actually sell it in Boots. Failing that try ProDerma available in most chemists :)

Would it be worth asking the Dr or pharmacist to prescribe something suitable, I'm sure they can prescribe suncream for people with skin problems.

Ask the pharmacist if they have any samples, also you do know about the National Eczema Society don't you? They probably have something about the sun and eczema on the website, if not a factsheet.

DS1 gets his on prescription, it's the only one that doesn't irritate him, and he uses Sunsense (they do sell it in Tesco's)

It was trial and error with 2 of mine who have eczema, we had to try a few ones that the doctor recommended before we found one that didn't drive their skin up the wall. At the moment we are using a Tesco one but I put it on after applying a thick coating of their eczema cream.

We have used Boots Soltan Sensitive suncare for years on DD for years. It isn't perfumed, is hypoallergenic, non- pore blocking and has a moisturiser as well. It's not cheap but it's usually on BOGOF. Good luck.
