    There are bad landlords and bad tenants as in everything. IMO letting agents are the worst because they are told from 'up high' that they have to do things a certain way without any idea of why. They don't let anyone know their rights because they don't know them themselves.

    As a tenant, you're entitled, by law, to 'quiet enjoyment' of your property. That means the landlord or letting agent or whatever cant just enter the property without your permission.

    There are sufficient safeguards in law for both landlords and tenants, the problem comes with trying to enforce them in the face of ignorance!!
