    I see what you are saying pinkshoes, but she wants to keep the house, she doesn't want to sell it.

    I think he paid for around £900 of it, my girlfriend paid around £250 it was all done in cash, then she put carpets, radiator, wall paper, furnishings etc.

    You can clearly see from her bank statements when he stopped paying the bills (July 2007). I am not sure why he would say different (it's a year out, so not a slight mistake). Council tax backs it up too as she obviously informed them he had moved out.

    If she were to deduct the payments he had missed from his share of the equity, he would owe my girlfriend money not the other way around! I think it might take a solictor to tell him that though.

    BTW I asked her to confirm with the Halifax; he has taken her name off the account, it was a joint account, not his account with her added, he hasn't closed the account. She asked him about it on the telephone and he denied even going to the halifax (despite the fact that she had a change of address letter come to her house), when she told him that she knew he had made changes, he quickly changed his tune saying "he went in to get statements and changed his address".
