National Express Refunds?

Do they exisist?

My parents purchased tickets last week and were due to travel to London from Newcastle first thing this morning, and return later tonight.

However there was a bad crash on the A1 at 6-30am which resulted in them being a minute late for there train! The kind customer service told them that there tickets were non transferable and that they would need to pay an extra £260 for two single tickets to catch the next train!!!!

Needless to say they didnt pay, however Im curious as to whether they will be able to get a refund on there original tickets, plus there £14 car parking fee which was used for less than 10 minutes!!

Any help would be most appriciated

i would ask for the refund, nicely and the parking fee. If you explain about
the missed trip to London they will probably refund it. It wasnt anyone's fault but when our Ferry at Hull was late and we missed the NationalExpress bus to take us home i wrote to them and they refunded me the Service bus costs to get home.

Did they just wait for their booked bus for the return journey or did they have to pay extra for getting an ealier one.

Dont ask, Dont get. good luck.

And the rail network should be ashamed of themselves.

I think the only way they could have got on a different train is if they were travelling on another train and that was delayed causing them to miss the intended train.

    Errmmmm.....does that make sense?! :o
