SKy - current customer; got 20% off for 6 months

I just phoned Sky to ask for Sports to be taken off (thus reducing £46 a month to £37.50). This was a genuine request as I wanted to reduce that particular outgoing.

However, the guy I spoke to said they had an offer (as I've been a long time customer) of 20% off the full package. Therfore I keep sports and pay less! For 6 months also.

I did a similar thing 2 weeks ago and was give 25% off for 6 months...

If you an existing Sky customer and have been with them for sometime its worth calling them a couple of times per month to reduce your outgoings.

We cancelled ours and within 2 weeks we had a phone call offering 6 months with 50% off and no contract so can cancel any time .

This is exactly what we need...everyone should try and call thier bluff and Sky will bow to the pressure.

Its unacceptable that they charge outrageous ammounts like this.

i was on a basic deal with just 2 mixes paying £18.50 a month i think it was. Got offered either 20% off for 6 months or a £5/month deal for 3 months if i reduce to 1 mix.

Chose the second option so saving £13/month and can call up in 3 months and do the same thing again!!

Got sky sports free for 6 months when I went to cancel it as long as I then payed for the next 6 months

Well they took my cancellation so no sky after the end of June !! I never land lucky !

They'll call you before the month is out asking you to reconsider.

If you have Sky tv but dont have movies then call Sky as they are giving all customers half of the movies free for 2 months.

Oh I really hope so ! Maybe I shouldn't have cancelled and just tried calling again to see if I got someone more amenable.
