Nissan Note

Hi,

On sharp right turns there is a clunking noise coming from what seems to come through the steering wheel.

I took the car to a garage for a check just to make sure(mechanic heard it also). The garage couldnt find anything wrong with it.

This is now starting to worry me as the clunk is still there and we are due to go to Oban in a few weeks time from the North of England. So a 5 hour journey at least.

Has anybody experienced this with the Nissan Note before?

The garage ruled out brakes, wheel catching, cv joint/gaiter, track rod etc...

Could be a few things so it turns into a guessing game tbh :(

Had a similar problem on my mondeo. Found out that the flexible brake hose came loose from the retaining clip and used to rub against the tyre when i turned right. Just clipped it back in place.

Normally a clunking noise when the steering is at full lock means a cv joint is worn. Try a different garage.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D
