Halifax messed up bigtime help please

Hi all im new to the forum and im seeking advice on what to do next with the problem explained below
Currently i have 2 bank accounts with the Halifax bank the problem is that one of the accounts was originally a joint account with the x girlfriend We have been split up for some time now and the bank account was adjusted to be in my name only this was done around 3 years ago the account does have an overdraft facility on it which i use.The account states that you have to credit the account each month which is normally done however 12 mths ago i was short of work and unable to credit the account and the Halifax sent out a letter to my x stating that she should put money in the account obviously she phoned me not very happy to say the least thinking i had run up a debt in her name i made contact with the Halifax and they did their internal investigation amended some files somewhere and assured me that it will not happen again and credited my account with a £50 good will gesture this was all final on the 26th sept 2008 now in june 2009 the same has happened again and im totally miffed at the fact to say the least surly this should not be allowed to happen due to date protection and stuff like that. I have phoned the bank and they assure me that there is only my name and address on the account what can i do about this and should i go for more in the way of compensation (sorry about no grammer don’t do letters very well)
