Hi All,
Have just bought and moved into a new house and in doing so have knocked up a little debt on the CCs I'd like to get shifted to 0%.
Previously I've always had a bulletproof credit record, but am a little worried about applying now.
Time at current address: Used to be 21 years, now 1 month.
Electoral roll: Used to be yes, now no.
Status: Used to be living with parents, now home owner.
Will all this stuff make a big difference to my chances of being accepted...or will all the well managed accounts I've had over the years still see me right?
Reckon it's worth taking a punt and see what happens?
(looking at getting the play.com 6 months for 1.5% deal - shouldn't take too long to clear it)

Just in case anyone's reading - it's fair to say this stuff does make a difference - was declined for the CC. First time I've been declined in about 5 years. *sob*.0

get yourself on the electoral role now. Once you confirm with your credit report it is registered then apply for some CCs. in the meantime, pay off as much of the borrowing as you can each month.Kavanne

Thanks for your feedback.
You will have disrupted your credit rating temporarily of course by moving house. Lenders like stability, so best practice is to apply for credit facilities, where possible, before you move/change jobs/change banks. Being with the same employer, bank and current address for a while all help when applying for market-leading BT cards.
Personally, I wouldn't apply for another cc until your electoral status is on credit files at your new address. This can take one or two months, so allow plenty of time

Am updating my electoral roll status as I type - thanks both for your input.0
