Hi all,
My OH and I are in the process of buying a house in Bromley, SE London.
We've just received the Homebuyer Survey and it highlights potential damp around skirting boards and on chimney breasts. Apparently the damp proof course may be deteriorating and flashing around the base of the chimney stack may have come away.
It also says that increased sub-floor ventilation is required, and some plastering (and possible joist relevelling) could be required.
Can anyone recommend any firms in the local area that we could approach for quotations for doing at least some of the work?
Estate agents have recommended "Rosewood Preservation" and "London Damp Proofing". Any experience of using them?
Thanks for your help!
