ADSL modem - dsl Broadband line!

Hello - my buffalo router recently packed up after only a year so I quickly bought a replacement off ebay
It is a NETGEAR DG834GT. I know it is for ADSL lines (now) but isi there anyway I can get it to work on my Virgin DSL line? O
Or should I just bung it back on EBay and get myself another?
If so , could anyone recommend one that I should get so I don't make the same mistake again. I can only afford to get a second hand one off eBay.

If you are on Virgin Cable broadband then you rent your cable modem/router, if it fails they should just replace it.
.............and no an ADSL modem router won't work on a cable network.
Edit, just re read your post, if its your router then why not ring Virgin and ask them to supply you with one, they are free on most packages, though you might have to pay p&p.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
It was my personal router that stopped working. The Virgin modem is fine.
So time to look for another router then....0
