Nothing happening on the ISA front though, the top rates are being withdrawn or closed ."When the Government borrows, the citizen has to save".

pls dont expect much discussion on this issue, apparently this forum is only for investing and if you dont have countless thousands of pounds to invest its pointless doing it.
as for savings rates raising - good on its only a few %, but for those of us who dont have much, thats better than nothing! people seem to forget that rome wasnt built in a day / we all started out with nothing / some people enjoy saving and would like to invest smaller amounts over the long term (ie, entertain the free market / entreprenural concept)
